METRO
GUEST BOOK
    • I just found out yesterday that Les had passed away. This is a sad day, haven't seen the man since 1976,while working at CFMQ.FM in Regina Sask. There just seems to be an empty feeling in me today. Les was a very kind hearted person. My condolences to Les's family and all his friends. "METRO" is staring in heaven now. God Bless.

    • Well Met, we're finding it hard to believe you are not with us anymore. We dedicated a show to you recently. There were folks in the crowd way down here in south Texas who know you. By the end of the night, everyone felt like they knew you too. I sang 'I Love You Because' for you. I know you like that song. We miss you friend!

Barb, Lorne and Family. We hope you are doing OK. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    • The biggest smiles and the loudest laughter came out every Christmas since I was little when my family would put on the old 8-track of Metro. My family then went on to dub it onto a cassette and for the last 35 years have listened and laughed every Christmas since. My boyfriend this year went on to give out 5 cd's to family members this past Christmas so that we could all enjoy listening to Metro. My children and my boyfriends' children who are school age enjoy Metro just as much. He will always be with us every Christmas and will continue to make us laugh and smile. Thank you for all the wonderful memories! Lisa K.

    • After all these years that somanagun still makes a connection danger to my head every Christmas! So long Metro. ..

    • I always appreciated Metro's sense of humor and creativity. He is truly a Saskatchewan icon who has brought much joy to many a gathering.

    • Dearest Lorne & Kathleen, and to Barb and Karen and all Les’ family, I, along with my whole motley crew of a family, are all so very touched to learn of Les’ passing, and I send to you my heart’s love. Les grabbed my heart once upon a time, and there has always remained a spot there for the person that he was. He enveloped my family - and all my nieces & nephews when they were children - as if they were his own, with love, respect and a heck of a lot of giggles. For days I have been receiving their memories of their Uncle Les – as he continued to impact their lives even as adults. Myself, and all the extended Brehm family will hold Les’ generosity and care with forever specialness. In the words of Tim: “I always loved that man!” Godspeed Les, heaven now has what we don't, but your lovely spirit lives here. Jo-Ann

    • You are a true Saskatchewanian - only we can laugh like this. Thanks for all the memories, we will miss you, but will always have your music. Heaven is so much richer with you in it.

    • Dear Barb and family:

My sympathies to you and all of your families. Les was a great Canadian and a great Saskatchewanite! It was an honor to know him. He will be missed. God be with you and know that you are in my prayers.

      Andy Tahn Humboldt, Sask.

    • You will be missed terribly Uncle Les. That mirror trick still freaks kids out... I use it allllll the time on friends lil ones. One who is older now associates it with me. The fond memories are etched in stone and the gags will be carried on by many to come. Godspeed. Luv yoo!

    • I had the pleasure of spending time with Les during my childhood with the Brehm family. I have fond memories of Les being more like one of the kids than one of the adults! Truly a wonderful man, so sorry he is gone.
